- 1 head cabbage, shredded
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 3/4 c. corn oil
- 1 Tbsp. mustard (ground)
- 1 Tbsp. celery seed
- 1 Tbsp. salt
Directions

1Shred or grate cabbage.

2Peel onions and slice.

3Combine sugar, vinegar, corn oil, mustard and celery seed; bring to a boil.

4Remove from heat and cool.

5Alternate layers of cabbage and onions.

6Pour mixture over cabbage and store in a covered container in refrigerator for 3 days before serving.
