  • 5 qt. pickles, cut in 1/2-inch chunks
  • 5 c. vinegar
  • 6 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp. turmeric
  • 4 1/3 tsp. mustard seed
  • 2 1/2 c. water
