- 11 or 12 c. flour
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 cake yeast or 1 1/2 pkg. dry yeast
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Add salt, shortening and sugar. Add 1 cup flour.

3Mix well, add rest of flour gradually.

4Knead well, let raise 1 hour and work down.

5Let raise 1 hour more. Pinch off top; form buns and place on greased pans.

6Cover and let raise 2 hours.
-
7Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
