- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 1 c. whole kernel corn, drained
- salt and pepper
- 2 cans tomato sauce, divided
- 3/4 c. water, divided
- 1/2 c. each: finely chopped onion and green peppers
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 4 strips bacon
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Place the rice and corn in layers in a 2-quart casserole with tight fitting lid.

3Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

4Pour over 1 can tomato sauce, 1/2 cup water, chopped onion and green peppers and the ground beef.

5Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

6Pour over the second can of tomato sauce and 1/4 cup water.

7Cover with strips of bacon.

8Cover; bake for 1 hour at 350°.

9Uncover; bake 30 minutes longer, or until bacon is crisp.
