  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 tsp. light Karo syrup
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. cold water
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Combine all ingredients, except vanilla, in top of double boiler.

    Beat until well blended.

    Cook over rapidly boiling water, beating constantly.

    Beat until mixture forms peaks. When icing is thick, about 7 minutes, add vanilla and beat well.
