- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/3 c. pecans, chopped
- 24 caramels
Directions

1Sift flour and baking powder together and set aside.

2Melt margarine.

3Stir brown sugar into margarine, then add vanilla and pecans.

4Add dry ingredients and mix well.

5Take a teaspoonful of dough and roll into a ball.

6Flatten one side on ungreased baking sheet and pinch top.

7Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes or until lightly brown.

8Let cool.

9Melt caramels with 1/4 cup water.

10Dip cooled cookies into melted caramels then into crushed pecans.
