- 12 ounces silken tofu
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- oil for frying
- 2 green onions chopped
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
Directions

1Cut tofu into 12 cubes. Place cornstarch on a plate or in a shallow bowl and dredge tofu in it, coating thoroughly.

2Heat enough oil so that tofu will be half-way submerged. Fry tofu in hot oil for 3 to 5 minutes on each side, or until crispy. Drain on paper towels.

3Sprinkle green onions over tofu and drizzle with hoisin sauce. Serve immediately.

4You can also try making this with dashi sauce. You just need 1/2 cup Konbu Dashi or dashi soup stock, 1/2 cup mirin and half a cup of light soy sauce. Mix them all together in a saucepan and bring the sauce to a boil.

5Pour the dashi sauce over the fried tofu and top with bonito flakes, spring onion and grated radish. Oishi!
