- 2 12 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 14 cup apple juice
- 14 cup cider vinegar
- 13 cup honey
- 4 allspice berries or 12 teaspoon ground allspice
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 12 small beets, cooked peeled cubed
- 2 inches peel of 1 lemons
- 1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
Directions

1In a medium saucepan, combine water and apple juice.

2Add the cornstarch and blend until smooth.

3Add the cider vinegar, honey and spices.

4Boil for 5 minutes.

5Let the sauce cool for at least 30 minutes.

6Before serving, add the beets and butter and bring mixture back to a boil.
