"All-Bran" Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. Kellogg's All-Bran
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 5 1/2 c. all-purpose flour

Directions

    Add boiling water to All-Bran, Crisco, sugar and salt.

    Cool. Then add eggs, yeast (dissolved in warm water) and flour.

    Mix well in large bowl and cover.

    Place in refrigerator overnight. Next day while chilled, knead, roll out 1/2-inch thick, cut with biscuit cutter, butter lightly, fold and place in pan to rise until double.

    Bake at 400° until brown.

    Store in fridge or freezer.

    Warm, uncovered, 7 minutes at 350°.
