  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water
  • 2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
  • 1 c. almonds

Directions

    Melt butter in heavy skillet.

    Add sugar, water and white Karo syrup.

    Cook to hard crack (290° to 300°), stir constantly.

    Add almonds.

    Spread on cookie sheet and break in pieces when cool. Great with walnuts, too.
