- 2 14 cups sugar, divided
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 12 teaspoons almond extract
- 12 cup sliced almonds
Directions

1Beat eggs until light and lemon colored.

2Gradually add 1 2/3 c sugar (remaining is used in the topping), beating until combined.

3Stir in butter, flour, salt and extract.

4Spread in greased 13 x 9 baking pan.

5Sprinkle with almonds and remaining sugar.

6Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
