  • 8 oz. almond paste
  • 4 oz. sweet butter (room temperature)
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 Tbsp. Kirsch or Triple Sec
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/3 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Cream butter, almond paste and sugar.

    Beat in eggs.

    Add almond extract and liqueur.

    Beat in flour and baking powder only until mixed through.

    Do not beat too long.

    Pour into a buttered and floured 8-inch round cake pan.

    Bake at 350° for about 35 minutes until a knife comes out clean.

    When cooled, invert onto platter and dust well with powdered sugar.

    Freezes well.

    Also keeps for 3 to 4 days.
