Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 12 oz. or less chocolate chips
  • 1 c. slivered almonds

Directions

    Cook butter, sugar and water in heavy saucepan to 250°. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 of the almonds. Spread out on buttered cookie sheet.

    Mix chocolate chips and remaining almonds and sprinkle over hot candy.

    Press into candy.

    Let cool. Break into pieces.

    (I freeze the candy and take out a little bit every once in awhile.)
