- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp. light corn syrup
- 1 c. finely chopped toasted almonds
- 1 c. milk chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt butter in saucepan. Add the sugar, water and corn syrup. cook over medium heat, stirring. Bring mixture to 290° on a cooking thermometer (soft crack stage).

2Quickly stir in 1/2 cup chopped almonds.

3Pour mixture onto ungreased baking sheet. Wait 2 or 3 minutes for surface to firm.

4Sprinkle on chocolate chips. When the chips have softened, spread the chocolate evenly over surface.

5Sprinkle on remaining almonds.

6Store covered.

7Makes 1 1/2 pounds.
