Amaretto Cranberries

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 lb. cranberries (fresh), washed
  • 1/3 c. orange marmalade
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 1/2 c. almonds, slivered, blanched
  • 1/3 c. Amaretto

Directions

    Bring sugar and water to a boil.

    Boil for 5 minutes.

    Add cranberries and cook until skins burst, about 5 minutes.

    Stir in marmalade and lemon juice.

    Remove from heat and cool.

    Add almonds and Amaretto.

    Chill before serving.

    Keeps very well in refrigerator.

    If freezing, add almonds and Amaretto after defrosting.
