- 12 medium tart apples
- 1 qt. sweet cider
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
Directions

1Quarter and core apples.

2Cook in cider until tender; force through sieve.

3Cook pulp until thick; stir often to prevent sticking.

4Cool about 30 minutes, then add remaining ingredients and cook on low heat for about 1 hour.

5Put in jars, leaving 1/2-inch from top, seal, then put in a large kettle with rack and boiling water.

6Process about 10 minutes.

7Makes 8 half pints.
