Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp. active dry yeast
- 1 oz. warm water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. milk (room temperature)
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Add ingredients in a non-metal bowl and stir with a non-metal spoon until creamy.

3Cover with plastic wrap and let stand in a warm place for 2 days to ferment. It will become bubbly and have a sour odor.

4Do not place in refrigerator.

5On second day, third and fourth day, stir.

6On the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth day, stir.

7On the fifth and tenth days, add 1 cup of each of flour, sugar and milk; stir. Reserve 1 cup of starter.

8Pour remaining starter, 1 cup each, into 3 containers to give away to friends.
