Ingredients

  • 2 cup warm water
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 6 cup bread flour

    Dissolve sugar in warm water

    Stir in yeast

    Proof until mixture resembles creamy foam

    Add salt and oil, stir

    Stir in bread flour a cup at a time

    Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth

    Allow to rise in oiled bowl at least one hour covered with cloth

    Punch down, knead on lightly floured surface for 1 minute

    Divide dough into loaves, place in well oiled loave pans

    Allow to rise at least 30 minutes, or until desired size, no more than an hour

    Bake at 350 for 30 minutes

    Cool in pan 15 minutes, remove from pan and cool for 1 to 2 hours before slicing
