- 1 tsp. soda
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Combine first 3 ingredients.

2Cut in shortening; add yeast mixture and buttermilk.

3Mix with spoon or hands until dough is formed.

4Roll and cut on floured paper.

5Bake at 425° for 10 to 15 minutes.

6Keep in refrigerator the leftover dough in covered bowl.
