- 10 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 c. buttermilk
- 2 tsp. soda
- 2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
Directions

1Combine flour and sugar; mix well.

2Cut in shortening.

3Add soda to buttermilk in a separate bowl.

4Add yeast to warm water; let dissolve in a glass bowl.

5Add buttermilk to 8 cups of flour. Stir in yeast water; stir well.

6Add more flour, as needed, to make a good texture dough.

7Roll out on a floured surface and knead for 2 minutes.

8Roll out 1/2-inch thick and slice into squares of 2-inches.
