- 1 tsp. soda (level)
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 3 Tbsp. sugar (heaping)
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 c. Crisco shortening
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients; cut in Crisco.

2Dissolve yeast in warm water; add milk and mix.

3Add to flour mixture and stir until blended.

4Knead until smooth.

5Roll 1/2-inch thick.

6Cut and place in lightly greased pan.

7Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.

8This dough may be divided and stored in the refrigerator in a covered container for several days.
