- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 4 Tbsp. warm water
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients; cut in shortening.

2Dissolve yeast in warm water and add to flour mixture.

3Add buttermilk and mix well. Turn out on a

4floured board or wax paper.

5Roll about 1-inch thick.

6Cut out biscuits.

7Dip in melted butter and fold over. Bake 15 minutes in 400° oven.

8Dough can be stored in refrigerator and baked later.
