  • 5 c. flour (before sifted)
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 c. buttermilk

Directions

    Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and soda.

    Cut in shortening.

    Add yeast dissolved in water and buttermilk.

    Roll out on floured board and cut.

    Bake at 425° to 450°.

    Can be stored in refrigerator up to 4 days.
