  • 5 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. hot water
  • 1 1/2 c. buttermilk

Directions

    Knead flour and Crisco.

    Add sugar, dissolved yeast water and buttermilk.

    Roll and cut.

    Let stand at least 20 minutes.

    (They can stay in refrigerator overnight.)

    Bake 10 minutes at 450° or until golden brown.
