- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 yeast pkg.
- 1/4 c. warm water
Directions

1Mix flour, soda and sugar.

2Cut shortening into dry ingredients.

3Dissolve yeast in warm water.

4Add this and buttermilk to shortening mixture.

5Refrigerate overnight.

6Roll out dough to 3/4-inch and cut into the size you want.

7Bake 20 minutes at 425°.

8You can store leftover dough in refrigerator for the next day.

9I like to roll out and cut into biscuits about 1 hour before baking.
