- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift together flour and sugar.

2Cut in shortening.

3Mix yeast with warm water until dissolved.

4Add buttermilk to yeast.

5Add mixture to flour.

6Mix lightly until moistened.

7Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness.
