- 1/2 c. corn meal (yellow or white)
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. oil
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs, well beaten
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients together well (excluding yeast).

2Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.

3Mix together well the dissolved yeast, oil and buttermilk with the dry ingredients.

4Pour batter into a well-greased cornbread stick or muffin pans and bake at 450° for 12 to 15 minutes.

5Makes 3 dozen.

6Serve hot or cold.
