  • 5 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. shortening

Directions

    Add milk, melted shortening and yeast to sifted dry ingredients.

    Mix well, form into soft ball.

    Put in refrigerator for 12 hours, punching down if it rises.

    Roll out on floured board and use as desired.

    Keep unused dough in refrigeration.
