- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and shortening.

2Gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Combine flour and baking powder.

4Add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Add vanilla.

5Pour in greased and floured tube pan.

6Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
