  • 5 c. sugar
  • 1 c. white syrup
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. anise oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. food coloring

Directions

    Boil sugar, syrup, water and cream of tartar to 295° on candy thermometer.

    Remove from heat and add anise and food coloring. Pour on greased cookie sheet.
