Ingredients
- 1 lb. powdered sugar
- 1 lb. butter
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- scant tsp. baking powder
- 5 to 6 c. flour
- 5 to 6 drops anise oil or 2 tsp. anise extract
Directions

1Cream butter, sugar and eggs.

2Add dry ingredients.

3Mix together.

4Add anise; knead on flour board 5 to 6 minutes.

5If dough is sticky, add a little flour.

6Cookie dough shouldn't stick to hand.

7Refrigerate overnight.

8Roll out and cut on floured board with cookie cutters.

9Place on greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar sprinkles.

10Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes. Bake until cookie turns light brown around edges.
