  • 6 whole cloves
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest (grated peel)
  • 2 12 cups apple cider
  • 2 whole cinnamon sticks, each 2 inches long
  • 2 tablespoons brandy

Directions

    In a medium saucepan, combine cloves, lemon zest, apple cider and cinnamon sticks.

    Bring to a boil.

    Cover, reduce heat and simmer gently 3 to 5 minutes.

    Remove pan from heat.

    Strain out lemon zest, cloves and cinnamon.

    Add brandy and serve.
