8 steps

Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine melted, or butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 granny smith apples
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon or more to taste

Directions

  1. 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. 2
Peel the apples and chop them into small pieces.
  3. 3
In a large mixing bowl, mix the liquid ingredients (melted margarine and eggs).
  4. 4
In a separate mixing bowl, mix together the dry ingredients (sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon).
  5. 5
Add the dry mixed ingredients to the liquid ingredients. Mix together.
  6. 6
Add the chopped apples to the mixture. It's helpful to add a little at a time and stir. It will seem like you have way too many apples, until they are all actually blended in.
  7. 7
Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 pyrex pan.
  8. 8
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
