Ingredients

  • 5 lbs. apples
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups brown sugar
  • 1 3/4 oz. box powdered pectin
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. Ground Allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. Cloves

Directions

    Peel and slice apples.

    Bring apples to boil in water, reduce heat and cook 25 minutes or until tender.

    Mash.

    Stir in all other ingredients.

    Bring to boil and cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Put mixture in jars to 1/4 inch from top and seal jars.

    Leave in boiling bath water for 5 minutes.

    Makes 6 pints.
