  • 2 qt. apple cider
  • 4 qt. apples, pared, cored and sliced in thin pieces
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. each: ground allspice and cloves

Directions

    Boil cider until it is reduced to 1 quart.

    Add apples and cook slowly until mixture starts to thicken.

    Stir frequently. Add sugar, syrup and spices.

    Cook until mixture, when cooled on a dish, is of good consistency to spread.
