- 4 lb. apples, peeled and quartered
- 2 c. apple cider
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
Directions

1In large saucepan, cook apples in cider until tender, stirring occasionally.

2When tender, process apples through a sieve or food mill.

3Measure 6 cups of pulp into same pot.

4Stir in sugar and spices.

5Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, to prevent scorching.

6Cook about 1 hour or until very thick.

7Pour hot into hot, sterilized jars and seal.

8For longer storage, process pint jars in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
