- 1 1/2 c. salad oil
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
- 3 c. chopped and peeled firm apples
Directions

1Prepare apples; set aside.

2Measure salad oil in bowl.

3Add sugar and eggs; mix well.

4Beat at low speed until creamy.

5Sift flour and measure; sift again with salt and soda.

6Add flour mix to creamy mixture in small amounts; beat well after each addition. When stiff, beat by hand.

7Fold in apples and nuts by hand.

8Spread in 9 x 13-inch pan evenly, using wax paper after greasing.

9Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.

10Top with whipped cream and enjoy.
