  • 6 to 8 apples
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2/3 c. milk

Directions

    Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together 3 times. Cream butter and add well beaten egg.

    Add milk and mix all together.

    Spread in a pan, about 3/8-inch thick.

    Cover with apples (peeled, cored and sliced).

    Lay in rows, overlapping each other.

    Dot with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake about 30 minutes in a 350° oven.

    Serve while still warm.
