  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. salad oil
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. chopped apples (unpeeled)
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Blend sugar and eggs.

    Add oil and vanilla; mix well.

    Sift flour and other dry ingredients; add to the sugar mixture.

    Fold in chopped nuts and apples.

    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake at 300° for 1 hour, or until done.

    This cake is delicious served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
