- 6 c. peeled, sliced apples
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 c. butter or oleo
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese (old)
- pouring cream
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Butter an 8-inch glass baking dish.

3Mix apples, lemon juice and 1/3 cup sugar lightly and spread in baking dish. Sift flour, 3/4 cup sugar, salt and cinnamon together in bowl.

4Add butter and blend first with fork, then with fingers to make crumbly mixture.

5Mix in cheese and sprinkle over apples. Bake about 40 minutes until apples are tender.

6Serve warm with cream.
