  • 5 (8 oz.) jelly glasses
  • paraffin
  • 4 c. fresh apple cider
  • 1 (1 3/4 oz.) pkg. fruit pectin
  • 5 c. sugar
  • red food coloring (optional)

Directions

    Prepare glasses and lids and melt paraffin.

    In large saucepan or Dutch oven, mix apple cider and fruit pectin well.

    Heat mixture over high heat, stirring constantly, until rapidly boiling.

    Stir in sugar; boil again 1 minute, stirring constantly.
