  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme, crushed
  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 4 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 rib celery, sliced
  • 1 apple, chopped
