  • 2 c. apples, washed and thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. honey or pure maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 c. rolled oats
  • 1/2 c. whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1/2 c. safflower oil
  • 1/2 c. natural apple juice
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    Grease a 9-inch square pan with vegetable oil.

    Spread prepared apples in the bottom of the pan. Cover with lemon juice and honey.

    In medium-size bowl, combine flour, oats, oil and spice.

    Spread over apples and pour apple juice on top.

    Bake for 35 minutes and serve.
