  • 6 to 8 baking apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. soft butter
  • 1/2 c. rolled oats

Directions

    Butter a large enough casserole dish to accomodate the apples and to allow space at the top for the topping. Pour apples over bottom of casserole. Mix cinnamon and water; pour liquids over apples. Mix together dry ingredients and butter until crumbly. Put mixture over apples. Bake at 350° in oven for 40 to 60 minutes. Serve warm.
