- 4 c. sliced, pared baking apples (about 5 medium sized apples)
- 2/3 to 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. regular oats
- 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
Directions

1Heat oven to 375°.

2Grease baking pan, 8 x 8 x 2-inches. Arrange apples in the pan.

3Mix remaining ingredients with a fork. Sprinkle over apples.

4Bake until tender and topping is golden brown, about 30 minutes.

5Serve with cream, whipped cool cream, ice cream or a hard sauce.
