  • 5 to 6 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. uncooked oats
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. melted oleo or butter

Directions

    Mix apples, white sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg well.

    Place in 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.

    Combine 1/3 cup flour, 1 cup uncooked oats, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/3 c. melted oleo.

    Spread over apple mixture.

    Bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
