- 6 large tart apples (to fill a pie)
- 1 pie shell
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
Directions

1Peel and pare apples; cut in eighths and arrange in a 9-inch pie shell.

2Mix 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon; sprinkle over apples. Shake pan so mixture settles.

3Sift 1/2 cup sugar (may be less if apples are sweet) with flour; pour over apples.

4Shake.

5Cut up butter and dot over pie.

6Bake in hot oven, 400°, for 40 to 50 minutes.

7Serves 6 to 8.
