  • 4 large apples
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • pie shell (deep dish)

    Mix the 1/2 cup sugar and the cinnamon together. Put 1/3 of this mixture in bottom of pie shell. Fill the pie shell with sliced apples. Sprinkle the remaining sugar and cinnamon mixture over the apples. Mix the other 1/2 cup sugar, flour and margarine until mixture is crumbly. Pile on top of the sliced apples. Bake at 400° for 40 to 50 minutes. If you wish to freeze the pie, freeze before baking.
