- 5 apples
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 cup rolled oats (not instant)
- 23 cup packed light brown sugar
- 12 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon table salt
- 14 teaspoon ground allspice
- 23 cup melted butter
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375F.

2Peel, core and slice the apples, and arrange in a baking dish.

3Sprinkle with lemon juice.

4In a mixing bowl, combine oats, sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt and allspice.

5Pour in melted butter and stir until it forms small pebbly clumps, about the size of a pea.

6Distribute evenly over apples.

7Bake in preheated oven 35 minutes.

8Serve warm with milk or vanilla ice cream.
