  • 6 apples
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. apple pie spice
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. water

Directions

    Peel apples.

    Slice thin.

    Place in an 8 x 8-inch dish.

    Mix sugar, flour, egg and spices until mixture looks like cornmeal. Put on top of apples.

    Add water.

    Cut up margarine on top.

    Cook at 350° for 1 hour or until top of pie is brown and crusty.

    Serve warm with ice cream.
